Hi I was thinking of getting these speakers:

but i am unsure how they connect to the PC? stupid question maybe but...

At the moment i have cambridge soundworks 2.1 megaworks - these connect via digital audio out... i have a SB audigy 1 sound card (old i know)...

Will these speakers connect via this connection? or will itj ust be standard 3.5mm ? and if thats the case will the sound still be good?

thanks

Is Corsair using some OEM to produce these? My biggest concern would be Corsair have absolutely no track record in making speakers so who is making them? Corsair is a great brand for PSU's and RAM, but for speakers? Hmm.

They were newcomers to PSUs, coolers and cases.

I got the first 620HX and it is fantastic, I now have a 700D case, which is again, fantastic. (Not that I have built in it yet!)
I see no reason why their speakers would be poor tbh.

I didn't suggest they are poor quality. Just that I associate Corsair with PSU's and RAM. I know they use SeaSonic for some of their PSU's so wondered if they used some other OEM for their speakers. Im sorry but Corsair is not a name I would immediately associate with speaker systems. Im sure they are great but as RJC said the Soundcard is the limiting factor here. Cambridge Soundworks would p*** all over any Corsair speakers without a doubt. The wise money..... buy an Asus Xonar card and a Cambridge audio amp to run them speakers ;)
