I would like to book somewhere for Valentine's Day, and I have been researching the following:

222 Veggie Vegan
Amico Bio
Manna Vegetarian Restaurant
Titbits
Zilli Green
Mango Tree

Do any of you have experiences with any of the above? Are there any others I should be considering?

:)

Food for Thought is very nice in Covent Garden.. No experience with any of the ones you mentioned. It depends what you are after - Food for Thought is a very cosy, homely place.. Not a sort of dramatic romantic affair.

Not been passed it for ages but glad to see it is still open. Used to go in there sometimes back in 1999!

Not a veggie btw, just love the food.

A vegan mate of mine was recently telling of this place up in Shoredith he loves. Cannot for the life of me remember the name, but he reckons their 'Raw Lasagne' is a joy to behold. Sounds pretty rank but I would try it.

One of my mates recently took a girl to Vanilla Black and recommends it highly, I've never been myself but the menu sounds interesting at least. In case it matters apparently the girl in question loved it too.

I had a look at that one and then crossed it off my list because their Valentine's menu is quite limited and we don't like quite a lot of the items on there :o

Slightly different suggestion...

...I went for a fondue at St Moritz a couple of months ago. We had meat dishes too but the fondue (cheese) on its own was plenty. Absolutely delicious swiss food with swiss wines, really nice, intimate little restaurant too with swiss waiters and decor. The website's pretty cheesy but food was ace:)

Another vote for Vanilla Black. I'm very pro-meat but loved it.

I think you should put some effort in and cook yourself for St. Valentine's Day. Then you can go to Vanilla Black when they've got their full, non-rip off menu on. :p
