4x New Tyres for Ford Focus - Suggestions

Camskill have Pirelli P6000's at a silly price in my size at the moment on special offer, they going for CS3 prices on blackcircles and etyres, any good?

I had P6000's on my Puma years ago. I'll totally agree with fox. Absolutely awful tyres that would regularly scare the hell out of me in anything remotely resembling moisture on the road.

Tyres bought and just fitted. Went for Dunlop SP Fast Response in the end. Reasonable price and seemed decent enough for what I need them for.

I'll give them a few hundred miles to bed in and post a bit of feedback on them. Certainly already they feel leagues better than the Hankook tyres they replaced.

I recently got 4 of these on my Mk1 Focus as well to replace 2 EcoContacts and 2 Armstrongs (budget tyres). I've done about 350 miles on them so far and they do seem pretty decent. Still wearing in though of course! They feel significantly better now that I've done a couple hundred miles on them though. Out of interest, how much did you pay for them, fitted, per corner? I ended up paying 63 fitted & balanced per corner for 195/60/15 H at a Ford rapid fit garage for mine. I nearly bought the 45 quid Nexens they had but I decided to try a premium brand for once.

I got mine from an ATS Euromaster centre in Gloucester today. Again, 195,60,15's but not sure on the speed rating (will check later).

I paid ever so slightly more (£260 all in) but I've got some 3 year free puncture repair and defect replacement thing with them 'thrown in' which I'm sure bumps up the cost a little.

Needing some new ones myself and this prompted me to have a quick look at blackcircles, had some T1-R's fitted 18mths ago, for the same tyres now they are £21 extra per tyre.

Out of interest, i cant get CS3's as they arent suited for my car, so would CS2's be a valid choice? better than T1-R's?

In what way are they, 'not suited to your car'?
They're the successor to the CS2s..

Holy thread revival but saves starting a new one.

I need 2 x rear tyres for my Focus 1.6 Zetec 205/50/R17 - I have seen the Falken 912 are they good ?

Get something black and round that doesn't sound like it should be on a takeaway menu. It's a focus. The difference between a goodyear hydragrip and a F1 GSD3 at 30mph when little johnny runs accross the road will make a negligible difference surely?

So I don't have to start a new thread, any suggestions on for a 2009 1.6 TDCi Ford Focus on 205/50/17's? It rolled out the factory on Continental ContactSport 2's but can't help this is over kill. All my miles are on the motorway really so just trying to justify whether £600 on 4x CS3's is worth it? The cheaper (still £100+ a corner) bracket consists of the following:

ALTIMAX UHP
KUMHO - KH31
FALKEN - ZE912

Are these viable alternatives or shall I just cough up for the CS3's?

get these then http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m54b0s304p6202
