Hi i have a ASUS p8P67 pro and my current BIOS is 0804.
now i have been reading through numerous threads about people having issues with this board although mine is running faultless.

should i update the bios or not? :)

Have you overclocked the CPU?

I have had the BSOD 3 times with my on my computer untill i reset the BIOS to default settings. Thats using the newest version of BIOS as well. Im using the 2600K 3.40GHz Sandybridge overclocked to 4.60GHz

ye i was thinking that myself to be honest.

if its not broke dont fix it :D

i havent overclocked yet but i do plan on overclocking to around 4.5GHz in a couple of weeks.

^^Unfortunately thats just the point. Its very broke. Even at 1253 its got issues.

That's a nice sweeping generalisation you've got there. The OP hasn't stated he's got a problem with the board/bios. He's concerned about the number of complaints about it and whether updating to the latest bios will help. The best advice is try it and see, then go from there.

I did a build yesterday with the same board and bios. It posted fine, windows installed fine, memory went to 1600MHz fine, the cpu oc'd fine, my pci card installed fine, my gpu installed fine, it cold boots fine. If that's very broke I'd love to know what it'd be like when it works :)
