Anyone had any experience with these tyres, my current tyres (goodyear got them from my local garage as thats the standard tyre manufacturer they use) They have only lasted just over a year and done about 6000k, and i will be needing a new set soon.

http://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/brands/uniroyal/rainexpert This is what i have found on blackcircles.

It is a Clio 1.2 dynamique 16v i drive, the size of the tyres are 185/55 R15 82 speed rating is not that important, not wanting to pay too much but of course i would like tyres that last

Any advice.

Yep thats right they only lasted 6000 miles the type of tyre i got was not the best, It wasn't top end goodyear tyres only cost about £35 each. Going round a roundabout at even 15mph turning into another road the tyres were losing grip, they car was starting to skid.

Whenever the road surface was damp this happend, the tyres had plenty of tred left when i checked after it happend.

Still, a set of goodyear tyres after only 6k miles in a 1.2 Clio is some good going.

Do you participate in wacky races or something?

Nah Gibbo, 6000K = 6 million

You know what i mean 6000 miles.

I don't do any crazy driving its mostly dual carriageways and main roads. Like i said there are like cheap end goodyear tyres.

Even so, it's still a lot of wear in a very short distance for your particular car.

I agree Jono 100% with you i would have expected them to last a lot longer, why they only lasted this long i have no idea.

Please no do not buy Toyo T1R's they are ****e!

You **** to be looking at the following:-
Falken 452 - Cheap and OK, but no master like some internet forums suggest.
F1 Assymetric - Excellent all weather tyre, softish sidewalls but on a Clio should be fine.
ContiSport 3 - Superb all round tyre and long lasting

You might struggle with the above in your sizing.

For the money I'd be recommending Hankook V12 EVO tyres, very highly regarded on cars such as EVO's, won quite a few group test and are damn cheap too, check them out:-

Basically £45 a corner, ring around your local tyre fitters and ask if they will do them fitted for £175 for a set of four. :)

I've got Hankook V12 EVO's on my Clio 182 at the moment. Can't fault them for the price. Much better than anything else i've tried.

if i had kept my tyres on the same corners, my F1's probably done 15k on my Fiesta 2litre, with 160bhp. That includes 4 trackdays.

With rotation i edged 30k ish out of them, left side worn to 1.6mm, the right side worn to 4ish mm and sold on to a member of STOC and OCUK.

How on earth do they only last 6k on a 1.2 clio.....?

I've not personally tried them, but people with EVO's have ran T1R's, Goodyear F1 and Vredsteins and all given same findings, much superior tyre in all conditions, better sidewalls and last just as long.

All the reviews I've read also show it to be very good and it even wins some group test, they do seem a genuinely good tyre and at the moment there seems no premium for what is such a good tyre. :)
