Ive just fitted a couple of rainsport 2 tyres to my corolla tsport.

so far very good. ive done about 500miles on them on damp roads, and found them better than eagle f1's and toyo t1r's.

no wheel spin or understeer at all

obviously cant comment on the wear rate at the moment

Have you checked the tyres your self or has a garage told you that you need new tyres?

Have you actually measured the tread depth?

I've frequenmtly thought my tyres were due for replacement but when actually measuring them they've been like 4/5mm - way off replacement.

I've got two rainexpert on the front of my 1.4 Clio and they're pretty decent, good grip in the wet. They were part of a tyre test last year sometime and did reasonably well, though I believe that conti premium contact 2s beat them by a few %, see here - http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=74029

I have checked the tyres myself and there is about 2.5mm left of tred on each tyre. 3 of the tyres are not goodyear as i first thought.

They are actually Falken Ziex ze912, the other tyre is goodyear and stupidly i assumed that all my other tyres were goodyear.

I've heard people say that CS3's are good in all sorts of ways, but never heard anyone say that they were long lasting!

Really good performance both wet and dry but they do wear down quickly.

Yeah, i think i'm being a bit over optimistic about getting 12k out of my rears.

I got around 12k out of the rears on my 530d and they don't have an easy life.

Think you need to get the car checked out, as other people keep saying 6k and needing to be replaced!

Could it be when you got them fitted they actually fitted part worn tyres? Can these guys be trusted?

Yeh i agree with you Ginc the garage i used was recommend by a good friend but i won't be going back there.

Managed to get one of the local tyre fitters here to get Nexen N2000 fitted for £48 each tyre making £192 total for 4, get it done on Monday

They are budget tyres comparable to Linglongs - not fun at all.

You can get a lot better than Nexens for just a little bit more, possibly even less if you shop around.

These will be even worse than the goodyears around roundabouts!
