Tested the microphone clarity over skype and it was very pure and clean. Fantastic little microphone for the price!

Thats a real good bit of kit, no so sure about the guy wearing it though, looks a bit scruffy.

Just tried this out in the office and it is certainly much clearer and natural sounding that the older Speedlink Elara which could sound very booming.
Can't believe how small this microphone is though.
And iron your shirt Valkia ;-D

I have one of these, they are GREAT! My PC fans are quite noisy and the mic doesnt pick them up. I game with headphones so cant test speakers sorry.

sooo pleased ocuk have now got these in! .... Now they just need to order in goldring headphones, namely the DR150's and non bad batch ns1000's :D

That is in the works with GoldRing :)

Can you guys try it with some speakers on in the background... I think we're all interested in how much background noise it picks up.

I have this mic and have tried it using Vent and BC2 cranked up quite loud on my speakers. It does pick up a little background noise, but everybody said it seemed ok listening to me. Really sturdy construction as well, it feels like you could stand on it and nothing will happen to it..

My only gripe about this mic is that it is so small and unobtrusive, I have twice got up and walked away from my PC without unclipping it. :o

wouldnt help overclockers rep if people end up garotting themselves with their new mic. Does the mic need boosting much ? my current fatal1ty headset need about +10Db to even be heard.

Can't help you on that. I also have a Fatal1ty HS-980 which I have not needed to boost at all. I just plugged the Speedlink in and carried on as normal.

Going to order one of these today to pair with my Sennheisers for gaming.

Been stuck using the one off an old headset for too long! :D

I've been using the Spes for months with an Asus STX card. Without the boost I cannot be heard at all.

Very clear though and my voice on playback resembles how it sounds in my head compared to when I use a lot of USB mics.
