ain't there bench marks that show the difference between x8 and x16 is really not massive?

TBH i went from a rampage 3 extreme i720 to asus p8p67 deluxe 2600k.
and my benchmarks have gone loads higher and gone from dual x16 to dual x8. its prob because of the cards and cpu but from what i can find u lose about 5% if that.

Ok 5% is not the end of the world BUT i want to keep my 5% :( LOL

Therea a £309 ASUS P67 and even that seems to be 2 X 8  very strange.

What Card did you come from Dazboots ? and how are you getting on with your Xfire ?

x16/x16 to x8/x8 loses 2%, to x4/x4 loses 4%, really nothing to worry about
There are 1155 boards that do x16/x16 but they cost lots more
The Sabretooth is lovely board and if I were building myself a machine now its what Id choose, trying to resist the upgrade urge though (made easy by being poor atm, lol)

Hiya m8 gone from 5970+5870 watercooled then tried 2x gtx470 watercooled then to 2x 6950 on air.
if u realy need a 2x16 pcie board then this

deffo does 2x16 but its going to cripple the cards as there is no room between the 2 cards. thats why i went with the asus p8p67 deluxe wanted more room. just go with what u really want.

The only motherboard that does 2 x 16 when 2 pciex lanes are populated is the Gigabyte UD7 as it has a dedicated Nvidia 200 chip for the extra lane.

If you really want the highest of high end, go X58 or wait for the upcoming replacement platform (with socket LGA2011).

The P67 Sabertooth is as good as any of the ASUS offerings really, all it's really got going for it on top is design. See a review here.

The 8x/8x is a platform limitation, any implementation of dual 16x lanes for GFX is only going to be through 3rd party enhancements - expect to pay a lot more.
