Simply fantastic. My £70 Sony's are now redundant. Take a few hours to run in but they are amazing for this price. How are they making them this cheap?

Perform better than my Sony's that cost £69.
UNBELIEVABLE sound for the price.

Sublime sound and only 20 notes. On par with my Senneheiser RS 120s that cost 3x as much. PERFECT!

Some fantastic reviews on a pair of under £20. If you are thinking of getting a pair of headphones for mp3, ipod or even for the computer do not give these at a miss and at the end of the day, what do you have to lose?

I do own a pair of these from when I reviewed them to take them onto the site I was shocked how awesome they sound along with the price point. A good decision and agreed by everyone who I have shown them too!

I'd like to hear a pair of those. There are many people on budget looking for a decent set at this price range.

Are there any proper reviews of the product yet?

Not as I have seen yet, but if you are local to Overclockers come down and I will let you try a pair! :)

My review is this :

Sound Quality is very very good for the price, its clear with fantastic clarity. The build is solid and does not feel flimys and the cable which is coiled gives a fantastic pro audio feeling. One of my only cons would be that the actual material which the ear sits on is slightly too small, if you catch my drift the ear does not sit inside the earcup but ontop of it. Isn't that much of a problem.

love my set - agree with all the above reviews. ABSOLUTE GENIUS - at this price there is nothing to fault. I'd be happy if I'd paid double the rice TBH.

I've been thinking about getting a pair but I have a big problem with getting hot and sore ears.

What are these like for extended use?

Anyone tried the 301/321's? I'm thinking they will be much the same...

I paid more than double for my Sony's bud ;)

The Arctic are much clearer in the treble and midrange and not as over heavy in the bass dept.

I know the Ns1000s are more expensive and a different type of headphone, but in terms of sound do these come close ?

bought mine yesterday, so hoping they turn up tomoro ( royal mail  )
not very much in the way of money but i'm optemistic after reading what everyone has said about them :D

can anyone confirm if theres any difference between using onboard sound and say the Asus Xonar DG 5.1?

let me know how you find them, Seraph. For the price these look like a cracking deal. Might even have to get them in for backup in case I break my normal ones.

Big difference. Well IMO there is. I have Goldring DR150's. They sound drab and lifeless when I use on-board audio, whereas the Xonar DG, which I just bought is far better. Admittedly, the X-Fi Xtreme Music, which I was using before, does produce a better sound. For £20 though, the Xonar DG is superb.

One might ask, why would I replace the superior sounding X-Fi Xtreme Music, with a Xonar DG? Dolby Headphone for one, and I have a Xonar Essence in my HTPC, which I use for serious listening. The slightly lesser sound quality of the DG, isn't an issue really, the headphone amp and outstanding price make up for that. :D

depending on personal finances i might get the Xonar tomoro hopefully and write a mini review for the headphones on mobo sound and the xonar :)

ok first things first, WOW!
Test is being run with Itunes playing Nightwish and some Dance Mp3s at 320Kbps
with Onboard Audio, mobo specs in sig
where to start lol hmmmm.......

the Phones are very very light, coming from owning a pair of Koss Portapro's the bulky looking design of these is very light on the head indeed, not overly sure about the weird braided type pattern on the headband but, the Leatherette padding on the ear cuffs is pure lush

the cups design mostly i think is open, i'm sat in my front room with Nightwish playing at the moment with various family members having a conversation and it's still audible.

other annoyances include, the coiled lead weighs more then the 'phones', which leads to one side dragging down grrr,

Overall, the quality is there, sound production is very good, bass is there, not crisp but not very wooly or overpowering, mids and highs are pretty much the same, nothing is overpowering or too tinny.

personally i will recommend these 'phones', for the price they are amazing with more design features then more expensive sets in the same price range.

i will write another mini review when i've purchased the Xonar DG sometime in the near future.

These arrived today, and first impressions are good but there are some problems.

I guess first thing is that they need to burn in for a few hours maybe because the treble is a little harsh at first.

But that damn coiled lead is very annoying! The wire is more than long enough but the coiling is so strong that it will pull the phones off your head if you move far enough (and far enough isnt very far at all, if your PC is under the desk then the lead will pull one side of the phones down). So now I currently have the wire wrapped around something to try and straighten the wire out. If that works then I can start enjoying and testing them more but for the moment that coiled lead is a major turn off.

The cups are closed.

I tried some CSS with them and the sound was quite harsh when shooting an AK or AWP so Im tempted to conclude these arent great for gaming. Still need to burn them in though.

All my testing was done using a modded X-Fi xtrememusic in audio creation mode.

Hi mate

I use mine mainly for Audio (Linn separates and Creative Zen X-Fi) and think they are outstanding for the giveaway price.

To be fair, they are pitched squaredly at Hi-Fi/ Professional/ DJ/ Music use, not gaming so I think they tick all the boxes at this price. :)

Also, did you not use "Gaming" mode on your X-Fi when gaming?
