Medieval, Roman etc movies

Kingdom of Heaven is absolutely dire :/

Rome series is really good, watched them over a couple of weeks as the uni library had them :)

edit: Centurion is also, sadly, absolute pony.
lol what..

do you watch desperate housewifes? the tudors? vampire diaries? jersey shore? are you a woman?

Kingdom of Heaven is painfully bad, Orlando Bloom is dreadful and the history makes my brain bleed.

Centurion doesn't make any sense and just feels completely pointless, cba going in to the plot but I have never seen such a nonsensical film.

edit: Jersey Shore is amazing :p

Centurion was highly entertaining, and utterly lacking in pretentiousness. Thus, I liked it quite a bit.

Christopher Smith's Black Death is also a recent keeper.

The history of KofH is well off the reality, so I wouldn't worry about that.

It is still an excellent film, one I have watched numerous times.

has braveheart not been mentioned!?

Got directors cut of kingdom of heaven here, might watch tonight never seen the film before.

Rome wasn't bad, for many reasons (:D) but suffers from 'rushed ending because of imminent cancellation' syndrome.

Kingdom of Heaven at least has Eva Green in it, but could have been better. A simple decapitation of Legolas early in the film would've improved things immensely. :D

I'll throw in Pathfinder. Where Vikings and American Indians, oh sorry, Native Americans have a bit of a fight. Not one for the ages, but there are worse ways of spending your time.

Go epic and watch some of the Bible Epics made in the 60s lol better than those modern ones

Ben Hur, Spartacus, Cleopatra :P

As we're getting sidetracked by some hugely overblown 60's epics, El Cid needs a mention too. I do like that.
