Hey all,

Its time to replace my old Lian-Li ally case, its looking old, case fans are tiny and the PSU is located at the top...

Been looking at good cases for the £60-70 mark, I dont like LED's, not bothered about a side window but if it has one i'll get one.

Black in colour if possible, good size case fans and PSU at bottom (I take it the PSU is better at the bottom to deal with heat issues?)

Any advances on the Coolermaster CM 690 II?

Id go for the HAF 912 Plus but thats just me....

Yep, just you :p

Front just looks so tacky - and case looks "chavved" to me.

OP, I agree, CM690II is the best for your budget!

Also, PSU location makes no difference to cooling :p

CM690II all the way.

The fan's LED can be switched off, a side window can be purchased separately, the case can be had for £50 ish, all black and tool-less design, quality finish, great looks and cooling, PSU at the bottom with possibility of mounting it both ways, enough space for two 240 radiators if you go watercooling, many fan slots, etc.

This case is one big win if you ask me.

ssd mount, number of supplied fans, different size front fan, and a graphic card support bracket.

Id go for the haf 912 personally (and I did :D). Both are great at cooling with nice internals and very well built. Its all down to aesthetics and which you prefere. Wont be dissapointed with either.

Some people though, (like me) pretty much hate the exterior of the HAF cases. Brilliant internally mind.

I didn't just go for the 690-II over the HAF because of looks though. The 690-II also has a removable HDD cage, which improves airflow considerably if you don't use many HDDs, and this also means a possible two 240/280mm rads. I intend to keep this for a long time, and maybe delve into water cooling if I fancy it in a few years.
