Bonus was very good this month, I game @ 1920.... hovering over the buy button!

You put a VF3000 on your 470 - I'm assuming this was due to the noise that the 470 made.
The VF3000 for the 470 does't fit the 480 so you'd be back to a loud, hot GPU again.
All of a sudden your £195 480 is a £235 480 (making another assumption about you buying a second VF3000) and you've still only gained a few extra frames which you didn't need anyway.

I was gonna start a thread like this too
460 to 480 is a bigger step, though, even if the 460 is clocked fairly well...
So, could everyone emphasise just how hot and noisy the 480 is? Surely no-one would go from a cool and quiet 460 to a power-drinking heat-pumping wind-turbine like the 480, would they?
470 doesn't really struggle, but I plan to go SLI eventually after investing in this dam expensive PSU. Can't go SLI with the 470 and VF because of the size.
Then again, I guess 2 x 480's might not work on this psu and would be like sitting next to a vacuum cleaner.
