Aye, it's Delta. I usually fly KLM (father is Platinum Elite) but never had any experience with Delta.
Can you still get the really good deals direct from the desks at the actual Airport or have they stopped it all now? I've not heard of anyone doing this for a while, used to be a very good way of travelling dirt cheap if you were prepared to risk waiting at an airport for a long time hoping for a cancellation or latecomer.
Well let us know when you do it. Last minute holidays can be epic. We want pics!I don't fly nearly enough to carry any loyalty programme. I'm a member of Flying Blue, but at the bottom as the only time I do fly is when my old man is paying and as such he books on his account. I get access to the 'fancy' lounge at Schipol by association (though, how he does it - I'm not sure... It isn't paid, I know that much...), which is fine for me!
I'm going to remember this wee search though, as it's certainly something I'd be keen to do - just book somewhere spur of the moment and go - as it's so cheap. Unfortunately, I'm £1000 short in my bank account to make me feel comfortable to do it....
Bed time now though, shame I'll be waking up in Glasgow!![]()
Yes!Sorry for taking this off topic, but what the hell is your sig about![]()
Did DM say actually that?!
Yes!
He hates me to the point of sending me emails with silly threats of violence. I thought it best that everyone should know.

If I could think of somewhere that would be awesome to go and flights were closer to the £200 mark we may be in business..
Can you get cheap flights by just turning up at the airport without booking? Then just book when you are there very last minute? This would be interesting to do.![]()
in 5 hours you managed to:
Pack
shower (I presume you would, with a 10 hour flight ahead of you!)
get to the airport
check in
???
I plan to go to NYC either later this year, around the fall, or the next fall, and going to budget £100 to £130 a night for hotels...that's £800/£850 for accommodation...enough you think?
