So tempted right now

Any recommendations or changes to the above spec? Only things I'm not sure about are the memory, graphic card and cooler. Are they the best I can get for the price?

Might go for 16GB of RAM now, that way I won't notice the extra ~£100 as much :p. Not that I need it really.

Thanks :)

I might get another hard disk, 128gb isn't much at all. Perhaps pop in a 1tb normal hard disk to give you some storage space.

Ah yes, forgot about that, thanks. In goes the F3 1TB :)

Or maybe the slightly faster 320GB F4

Need to get another couple of 1.5TB greens for storage at some point as well.

I can personally vouch for the Geil Value Plus, so I'd go for that and save yourself £20. You could put this towards the other 8GB if you wanted to :D

For coolers around that price range I'd go for either the TT Frio or Akasa Venom (I know for a fact the fans are great/quiet), not sure how good the scythe coolers are.

I'd go for the GTX480 at it's pre-order price of £195 tbh. I bought a MSI GTX560 Ti at £199 however the pre-order price would have sealed the deal for me instead had it been available before

Only reason I put the Scythe Ninja is is because I've had two now (old version) and they've both been excellent, but I've not really looked into the latest makes/coolers.

I'll check out the Geil RAM.

faster? not really, you need a benchmark to see any noticeable difference.

Well, yeah, hence 'slightly' :p

I honestly don't need 1TB for installs. But, then, more than 600 additional GBs for an extra £10 isn't bad if I go for the TB!

Ah yes, need to put OEM in my basket anyway, cheaper. Not ordering today though so won't get the special.

Plus for speed you have your ssd the other hdd is just storage and maybe back up it doesnt need to be fast.

I suppose, but most of my games and maybe some applications will be on the larger cheap HD, so still want something speedy. My storage drives will be a few 1.5TBs coming from my old PC, so just looking at OS drives in this build.

Thermal paste?

yes, i know the ninja has some, but get a tube of fancy stuff.

Yeah I have some AS5 thanks :)

Would it be worth going for something like the MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti TWIN FROZR instead?

Whats the best GTX 560 out there for roughly £200? i.e. quietest, coolest, etc.?

Also, memory runs at 1.55, but on the CPU it says "Recommended memory voltage is 1.50v, so make sure to run your memory at 1.50v, higher could limit lifespan of the CPU" ?

Thanks.
