A few questions regarding pre built

Hi!! It's my first time here, so forgive me if I ask some basic questions.

I am interested in one of the pre-built systems, the "Titan Spinosaur" with the following additions:-

Xigmatek 120mm Crystal Green LED Fan
XFX ATI Radeon 6870
Windows Home premium 64bit Operating system

But I just need a few questions answered first before I hand over the cash!

1) The antec 300 case, what is the maximum number of fans that you can put on this case? Does OCUK attach all the possible number of fans for free or do I need to add more 120mm crystal green LED fans?

2) Is it possible to change the hard drive? Need a bigger hard drive with a better cache rate in my opinion. Would changes to the spec incur an additional charge?

3) Is there free shipping to UK Mainland Mon-Fri? How long would it take to build the system?

4) Is the H50 cooler a water cooling system?

5) How safe is the overclock? I know you wouldn't sell someone something that isn't safe but this is the first time I plan on buying an overclock system, is it still a quiet machine?

I know it's a lot of questions, but I just want to make sure. I've got it down you OCUK or PC Specialist at the moment, but OCUK seems to be well in the lead. If everything is successful, I plan on buying it (without finance, I've dealt with Hitachi capital before, they suck)

Thanks!!!

you dont qualify for free shipping - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sh...&posted=1&utm_source=forums&utm_medium=banner

it takes around 48hrs to build and test.

the H50 is a cpu water cooling system.

if you phone them when you order, they will be happy to make adjustments to the spec for you:)

the overclock will be stress tested for a X amount of time, and there will of course be a warranty.

one major change i would ask for, is swapping the case to the newer/better Antec 100.

Damn that was a quick reply! Cheers buddy, shame I don't qualify - but what can you do

any ideas about the case? I noticed on the checkout 2 fans were added on after I made the selection, so I'm guessing all fan spaces are used up?

I added a little bit above.

Alright, cheers.

Let's say I was to stick with the Antec 300. The rear and top fan's must come as standard (?), the 2 additional green LED fans I selected must fit at the front, which leaves the 120mm x 25mm fan bay at the side which will not have a fan, right? Does OCUK sell any fans to fit that fan bay or are they exactly the same as the two additional fans I have added to my order?

Many thanks Stulid!

Are they not near enough the same? How is the 100 better?

Also, instead of ringing customer services, is there a member of OCUK on these forums that can do something to amend my order? I don't have access to a land line and calling an 0871 from my mobile will be really expensive!!

got myself one of these last week and the fan on top is a standard non coloured fan (could be changed) and there is a fan mount on the side of the case that is empty. personaly i find the case great plenty big for whats in it holds my 2 hdds 1 ssd and a gtx580.

When you wrote probably does that mean you will recommend z9 plus

yep, when there is a spec thread, needing a cheaper case around £40ish, in it goes as one of the good four in that price range.

Antec 100
Zalman Z9
Silverstone PSO3B
Coolermaster ELITE 430

screw it...

Alright, screw the pre-built system. Here's how it is:-

Budget of £950-£1000
Has to include 18"5 monitor and Operating system.
Looking for the rig to play games mostly on high/ultra - Games like skyrim, shogun 2, crysis 2, black ops, Medal of honour etc.
Needs to be quiet and has to be an Intel build.

If anyone would be awesome enough, I would really appreciate it. This would be my first build and after reading a certain thread called "Gutted" featuring a 13 year old with a messed up motherboard, I'll get my experienced friends to build it.

How does this look instead? Changed the monitor simply because I'll be leaving this at uni halls on some weekends. Means I'll lock up the tower in the cupboard, but leave the monitor out - cant be asked to haul a 24" into a cupboard with the tower. Added an aftermarket cooler as I'll be overclocking. Will this all fit in the case? Thoughts on the cooler?

Cheers for the help

Monitor makes me sad:(

with a resolution that small that a 18.5" monitor has, I could spec you a pc for £500 thats good enough.

The Corsair psu is the same wattage/slightly more expensive, doesnt have as many pci-e connectors.

The ASUS board wont do symetrical crossfire, i.e 8X speed for each gpu slot, the foxconn does.

the WD black drive is expensive for no extra speed increase over a SamsungF3 or Seagate Barracuda 500Gb/1TB alternative.

Ha!

Alright dude, seems like you know what you are talking about, I'll order you spec + that cooler. I take it that this build will be game future proof for the next 3 to (dare I say?) 5 years, with the odd upgrade here and there?

Guess I'll have to figure a way to lock that monitor away safely
