Audi RS5

We're also forgetting the GTR regrettably has a 'boy racer' stigma which is an acquired taste, in the same sense potential Focus RS buyers may be repelled.
I have to agree with this. It's a great car, but like it or not, it does have that image.

For proper snow aren't all of these discussed a bit unsuitable? Obviously 4WD and winter tyres will help but 20" wheels and low low ground clearance won't.

Yes, but with winter tyres good enough to get up steep snowy roads no problem. You cannot do that here without 4WD.

I've just got back from picking up some beers from our local Tesco.

There was a light blue S5 parked on our street that looked pretty nice. Coincidentally I also parked right next to a black RS5 at Tesco. I don't think it looks particularly exciting on the Audi configurator but in the flesh it was a fine looking machine.

Also followed an RS6 the other night back from town and it sounded absolutely ridiculous.

How about some Subaru Tourer with 4wd for less than 10k that you can use in the winter without fear of bashing something in a 70kk S5 that isn't really designed for winter work.

Then next year if you don't like it you can get rid and look at the s8 or whatever.

he owns a 599 ferrari.. why would he bother with a subaru.. while it would be good in snow.. RS5 all the way! one of the best looking audis there's plus its very capable car too!

As a total aside, Stafford Audi had the most expensive Audi I've ever seen in their showroom, I had to look twice at the price tag when I saw if for the first time.

Audi Q7

£156,000!!!!!

Must be the V12 TDi version!

Fully specced they go for £81,000~ (using Audi's configurator) and even then some options were still left out!

For that kind of price I don't think the eye pleasingly mean body can even do that justice!

It is such a beautiful car though. Autocar reviewed it on video and the reviewer stated there is some lack of feel through the steering but then again that there was some lack of feel through the M3 as well.

IMO the RS5 sounds nicer than the M3, looks meaner (and more beautiful at the same time) and the interior is far nicer than an E92 M3. But then again it does cost a lot more than an M3 so should be better in those areas.

It's not really 'fully' specced if it doesn't have all the options is it? :p

Well, fully specced as in stuff that you'd actually use - The spec options left out were things like the additional boot bits for golf clubs or whatever and so on :p

Oh and the ridiculously overpriced floor mats o.0

For that kind of monies (if I had it :p) I'd have to get the GT-R and take it to Switzer for the P800 package. then, when I'm older get something less young image wise :p

I just ticked every option on the Q7 V12 which starts at 98k

It only came to 122k

£156k must be a mis print.
