Hey there,

I've never actually ran Sli before and not totally sure of all it's benefits, and I want to take it into consideration before doing an upgrade. At the mo I have a single gtx 260 and was wondering if it'd be better to run 2 x 260s or would a newer card of equal value to the 2 be better?

If you have an SLI capable motherboard and power supply - then I say go for it.

Adding a second GTX 260 will give you a big boost in performance in most games and it won't cost too much.

I have used sli with good results. Go for it.

I have just found out SLI is a good thing..... If one GPU borks you always have another!!!!

What PSU do you have?

My mobo supports it, and my PSU is the corsair hx650 - think it's enough? With SLi does the power usage double or is it only slightly more with the load being spread over two cards?

It will go up under load, it wont double tho. A HX650 should be fine as it has 4 pci-e power plugs
