I cant see any compatible problems. This Pc is mainly for gaming but i do like to play around on video/photo software.

Could have maybe gone for the i7 2600K so your CPU is in line with your other components.

never tried stock. got cpu at 3.8ghz n max after an hour of prime was 43 then fan spen up n it dropped n didnt touch 43 again :)

then again i also have all 4 of my antec 900 case fans @ full speed.. noise doesnt bother me lol so that helps

seems i will go with XMS3 ram,no point to pay extra for vengeance ram, also its high profile..now i just need decide what cooler - i like Akasa Venom also and read very positive words about it..still have 3 days to decide untill i back from holidays..aaarrgh,hate this kind of decisions LOL

Gaming is the closest i get to using multi threaded software so the i7 2600k although awesome wouldnt benefit me enough really for the extra cash.

Have just woke up after a nice kip. Will try dig a camera out and take decent snaps today, thats if i can drag myself away from playing on it lol.

Today im guna plug it into my Epson 1080p projector. Should be fun. :D

Ok i have run Heaven benchmark a few times. Do my results look normal for my spec?
I know the res is only 1360x768 as still waiting for new monitor. will test it on projector at 1080p later. But do my temps and FPS look correct for stock speeds after a few runs of heaven?

Glad you got it sorted fella, get that mate a pint....or a nice ahem!....... Massage from the local parlor :p

So after making all your purchases and rectifying your boot issue and gaming till 2 in the morn, there's only 1 question left to ask.......

How do you feel after spending all that moolah??:p

Some pics would be great, we need visual stimulation....:p

Top man, we will be waiting;)

Just out of curiosity, is the case really loud? or is my missus nagging's about said case..louder?:p

Actually i hope it is loud, means i can just crank the fan speed up and drown out Peggy Mitchell's voice.......and the wifes:p

Its louder than my old antec 900. Sounds like a small office fan. With all fans on max it is little loud. Not enough to bother me though.

I have run into a small problem it seems. I have just opened the case and it appears my mate has installed the CPU cooler wrong way round lol

The fan is facing the GPU i believe, which is not ideal? My temps seem fine but should i worry about changing this asap?

Anyway here is couple of pics. sorry quality is not very good. Looks amazing tho running on my 86" screen.

Can anyone get back to me on my previous questions?

Will having the cooler facing down as above be ok?
Also was my benchmark normal for settings i listed above?

Cheers all :)

Well I personally wouldn't have the cooler facing down as I'd be worried the fan wouldn't get enough air due to the graphic card.

It would add afew degrees to your CPU temp as the CPU fan is pulling air from a graphics card that gets quite hot. But i would'nt be rushing to chance it if you're not comfortable in doing it.
