OT but my Grandad flew one, in Tiger Squadron (No. 74), as shown below:
One of the few who've successfully recovered a Meteor from a flat spin, loosing about 30,000 feet in the process! I wish I'd had the chance to fly things like that
Managed to land one on one engine once too, apparently that's quite an 'interesting' experience given the way the nacelles are spaced, a throwback to propellor-driven planes.
