An immigration officer put his own wife on a terrorist watch list – *so she could not get home from a trip to Pakistan.

The officer was so sick of his partner that when she was visiting family overseas he added her name to the register of people banned from flights into the UK.

I am concerned that someone can simply add anyone they like to a terrorist watch list without any checks and balances frankly.

If he had an issue with his wife he should have spoken to her about and faced it rather than being an idiot.

(It is damned hilarious though)

but on a worrying note.
if a guys wife is on the terrorist watch list, then WHY is her husband still allowed to be working for the immigration department?
if she was genuinely a terrorist sympathiser, then he should have been suspected as well, and he could have let anyone into the country

surely this should have raised some suspicions?

Yeah lol. If you were immigration officer and didn't like some of the people may be class fellows, cousins, etc you could put them on the list lol

Reminds me of a friend family. They have a small kid of may be 6-7 years and he went to morocco with his family and his aunts etc. He wanted to go to beach but the family had change of plan. So he threatened to have all of his family including his mum arrested for not taking him to the beach save for his other brother and sister lol
