I tried their free trial.
The streaming was not quite on par with BBC iPlayer, in addition, the choices of things to watch really wasn't that large.
Lastly (and worst of all), I found the turnaround on disks by post to be substantially slower than Tesco. I didn't continue with the Lovefilm service. Not impressed.
 
I signed up for Lovefilm but 3 times out of the 5 i sent discs back they said they did not receive them and wanted to charge me for them, seems a regular thing if you check the web.

tesco is lovefilm. lol.

i've been with lovefilm for years. only ever lost one disc :)
 
I'm considering joining LoveFilm, just for the Blu-Rays/DVDs by post though.

Is it worth sending the discs back recorded delivery? Or is that gonna cost a fortune?
 
Is this not worth trying on a PS3 then? The concept for me sounds good, gf loves watching films in the evening, but I'd like something that actually makes use of the decent TV i purchased :p
 
Although the streaming service isn't hd, the qaulity is watchable and better on some films than others, certainly not bad as it's free and the list is ever growing. Now they have released tvs etc I am sure higher bitrate must be on the cards soon.
As for the disc turn around it is quick and most problems are caused by RM even then they'll give you first falls of extra credits.

Used to be with LoveFilm, never had a lost disc. Friend of mine is now a member, has been for a while, again no problems with lost discs. Maybe just some people have been unlucky with lost discs.

:p could have just been a bad patch, or a disgruntled postie who had a problem with lovefilm or something :)
