Now generally i dont pay any attention to UFO crap, but i got sent these 3 videos from someone on my facebook friends list (reminds me to purge the list in future) and its basically 3 different people, from 3 different angles videoing a UFO event.

Personally i'm going with Chinese lantern setting fire to the paper around it and it burning as it falls.

But i dunno, i always thought they just went out and vanished.

if you have the technology to travel between starts either

1) you dont want to be seen because you are jsut studying / gathering intel so you DONT LET YOURSELF get seen

2) you drop in and say Hi

3) you drop you fleet of kill bots and come back in a month when then planet is sterilised

you don't keep getting spotted by flying about in a glowing shop in the dark..

either that or we are missing something in physics and star travel is much easier that it would seem so the visitors are only a few 100 years more advanced than us, still glowing ship + populated area + night = pretty stupid

Considering how close it is to Chinese New Year, and the fact I've seen Chinese Lanterns in the air pretty much every night over London the past few days... I'd say it's pretty darn obvious that it's Chinese Lanterns without even watching the video.

Chinese lanterns, why so many people have jumped on that bandwagon I don't know. Guess it's a trendy thing to do or something.

I would normally agree with you completely, but its just the fact that these "things" are dropping what look like flares or something out of the sides and bottom of them.

Second video is LOLworthy. Constant camera movement and refocusing in a vain attempt to make it look as if the lights are changing size and direction.

FAIL.

You haven't actually watched the videos have you.

These are UFOs, that's exactly what they are. Whether they are alien spacecraft is another matter entirely.

well if you don't know its a chinese lantern it is a UFO... UFO does not have to mean alien ship, its just something flying thats unidentified?

I watched the videos, I identified them as Chinese Lanterns.

I also watched a light pass over my house the other day. It was quiet, flashing, and quite fast. I concluded it was a light aircraft. Therefore it was Identified.

I then watched another light pass over my house yesterday. It was slow, dull, flickering and silent. I concluded it was a Chinese Lantern.

Unless there is proof that this is something totally different, then we have to conclude this is a video of a Chinese Lantern, more than likely a faulty on that burnt it's canopy :)

By your logic, any light in the sky is a UFO, unless you get up there, and stick your face against it to prove what it is. You have to use a form of logic here. If a jet is scrambled and chasing down a object, and it shoots off at a million miles an hour, and no one can reasonably identify what it might have been, THEN its a UFO...

Of course he hasn't.

Watch at 3:16 on the first video - look how it moves horizontally very quickly. This blows any Chinese lantern theory out of the water.

Yer, totally, you can see from the completely still and solid tripod mounted camera with a wonderfull frame of reference that it TOTALLY flew quickly.

You can see its movement in relation to the other light. You would know this if you had actually watched the part I was talking about.

I find it funny that a race so advanced that can travel light years to see us but want to remain secret would make such a n00b like mistake as leave all their landing lights on as they fly over us. :D

I have seen Chinese lanterns that drop white flare like objects in, which were just stuff embedded in the fuel source so it set them of as it burnt, but these could also quite easily setting their canopy on fire in the wind or some such.

Maybe we're a part of their flying test course? If we spot them they fail, if they aren't spotted they pass.

No I have not, I simply posted a semi OT comment about Chinese lanterns.

I have no idea what you're on about.
