£298 to spend

Hi guys,

Just got a cheeky tax rebate that I wasn't expecting of £298.

What would you add to my sig?

I don't really want another 6970 to go xfire.

More monitors? Nicer monitor? Larger SSD perhaps?

I'm just a bit stumped and would rather spend it on something substantial than put it in the bank and fritter away on nothing.

Thanks,

GZA

savings account?

Treat your missus/girlfriend to a wonderful night out?

*get's laughed out*

:D

Erm, I'd go for a monitor or SSD.

p.s. I had a £630 rebate last year. Spent most of it on my cousins stag night. waste.

OK so the majority seem to go for more monitors and eyefinity.

What I might do is buy 2x of the Samsung's I linked to previously test it out eyefinity-wise and if the heights are different and it bugs the hell outta me, sell my P2250 and get another sammy.

@hybrid572 - I don't see how a 6970 is going to waste in my system? Two I agree with but one isn't. Bare in mind I paid £256 for it at christmas :D

Will let you all know how I got one and if it is monitors then I'll post pics for all to see.

Thanks again.

GZA

I'd go for quality headphones and soundcard. DO IT !

Looks at GZAs sig.

Sees a Xonar D1. Sees he's spent a lot of money on parts, imagines he has quality speakers and headphones - otherwise no point to the soundcard.

Wonders why Gelly didn't do the same....

ouch!! lol

Yeah I've got ns1000s like Gelly54 does actually :P

The monitor option is still winning.

Are BenQ good? Read reviews etc but they're normally either very good or very bad which never really helps.

The reason I linked the sammys is I've got a 22" sammy monitor now, a 32" for bedroom and a 40" for lounge and all have impressed me and not failed me so I tend to follow the saying: "I know what I like and I like what I know"

Until something is available that makes it too obvious to switch.

EDIT: oooh - just thought of a cheeky something. My 6970 is HOT and LOUD - any coolers available yet that don't require drilling? lol. Saying that, voids the warranty....
