Building a new system, currently have gigabyte ud4, corsair ax850 psu,haf x case,i7 2600k, 8gb vengeance ram,benq ew2420 monitor.
just need a graphics card !!I've spotted the offer on the gtx480 i realise that its older gen card but what roughly would this card be equivalent of? ie amd 6870?,6970?,gtx 570?

Read the thread about that deal, there's a great deal of conjecture as to the answer!
 
The GTX480, GTX570 and AMD 6970 are all pretty much the same in terms of performance. Only the GTX580 offers faster single GPU performance, but it costs twice as much as the current 480 deal.

edit: A GTX480 will be a brilliant addition to the PC specs you list above. Nothing can touch it at the offer price of £195. It will play just about every at max settings upto 1920x1200, and can go even higher if needed.
