Sump Gasket Replacement..

Am I right in saying this a maximum of a 3/4 hours work?

My Car has been in garage for well over a week.. parts came Thursday and it's been 'On the Ramp' ever since.. gonna be going down very shortly!

I got a whole new sump & gasket fitted on a Focus in around 3 hours, so yes, depending on what else needs to be removed to get to it, 3/4 hours is about right.

There may be odd cases with some cars mind, depends what it is

MINI Cooper S.

I am aware the A/C Pump needs to be removed but still.. a few people have said that it should take a day max.

Depends on the car it's a 6 hour job on mine.

But it sounds like you've taken your car to the slowest garage in the world.

Depends on the car, some its as simple as dropping the oil, unbolting the pan, cleaning it up, put new gasket in and then bolt up and refill.

Funny thing is the garage phoned me straight after I posted this.

I have it back now lol - edit I did only pay £160 - it doesn't go to MINI for anything but it's service lol
