There is only one problem, that being, SP1 has not been offically being released by Microsoft, so I'll take that with a pinch of salt.

Looking through all 12 graphs, one concludes that there is only a 2 FPS gain at most.
What a complete waste of time. Twelve benchmarks to come to the conclusion that I arrived at within an instant of reading the title. If you've kept up to date with all the other updates, then SP1 barely changes anything.
And are these scores averages or just one time scores? Because the vast majority look well within the margin of error you'd expect anyway.

Assuming those numbers are accurate (averages with outliers removed) I'm surprised there is such a difference (as much as 1-2%), normally despite all the hype service packs do absolutely nothing for gaming performance in my experience.

Isn't Win 7 SP1 something of a placebo to try and lure business users into making the switch from XP?
Win 7 was actually pretty damn solid at release and hasn't needed much doing to it other than the usual round of security updates.
