Long story short, back at gym this morning after a long while. Finished workout went back to changing rooms to get a shower and get changed. Anyhow there was a gay dude also getting changed after a workout (I know he's gay as I’ve seen him about before) which made me a little uncomfortable. In the end I decided to keep on my boxers and have a shower as I didn’t want this guy looking at me naked.

Yes I know every gay guy doesn’t want to "bum" me (or any other guys in general) but neither do I fancy every girl i see but that doesn’t make it ok for me to go sit in the women’s changing rooms..

And on a other note I remember watching big brother ages ago with that transsexual Nadia. Other BB female housemates felt uncomfortable with her/him as well whilst in the bathroom as at the end of the day she/he still had a penis. Even if she had the penis removed (lol) I still would fine it uncomfortable.

Personally I wouldn’t want to be in the company of gay/transsexual people whilst getting changed, using the toilet etc.

Is that a normal response or am I being homophobic?

You said it yourself, hes not gonna bum you. Might as well give him a show!

If a sexy laydee was getting changed with you, would you get all embarassed and cover up?

Hmmm, I'm not so sure. Like you said just because he is gay doesn't mean he fancies you or wants to look at you naked.

There is some difficulty in that we are all men, we've seen a penis, we know what it looks like other than varying shapes sizes so lets be honest, hes not going to be stood/sat there gawping at your piece is he?

If he was, I'd be uncomfortable. If he adopted the usual man code of doing your own thing, not looking around and if there is chat, eye contact the whole time then fair game.

Next time the situation arises, while he bends down to tie his shoelaces, slap him in the face with your manly member and shout "NONE FOR YOU!"

No it's not homophobic, you don't have a problem with him being gay do you?

Showering with your boxers on screams "i'm ashamed of my penis", just get on with it.

If I'd walked into the showers and saw you with your boxers on I'd be thinking you were a pervert with a deformed knob.

its your preference as to whether you wear your boxers when there's a gayer in the showers....you arent homophobic, maybe a little insecure to bother to post it here though.

Not homophobic as such... It sounds more like you're under the apprehension that everyone is thinking about sex all the time, as though a gay guy couldn't possibly look at you without thinking of sex.

I wouldnt be embarassed but i dont think it would be appropriate either, hence having men and womens changing room seperate.

lol

You should be more worried about the men looking at you to compare or the ones who aren't openly gay looking at you.
If you have a problem with someone looking at you, change in a changing room.

Oh gays had a horrible past boo hoo. So they're allowed into the men's changing room which is like real life awesomeness to them? Yet am I allowed into the women's one to get changed, even though I've just done a workout and am horny as ****? No.

Stuff like this truly angers me.

Pandering to those little groups and leaving them with rights that I don't have.
