The 6950 can be unlocked to be rather faster than a 480.

And on the subject of VRAM, the 6950 has an extra 512mb of ram over the 480?

At this price for a 6950, I'm sorely tempted to go unlocked Xfire. Just a shame that rent comes first

Overclockers, curse you and your great 6950 deal!

Considered the 5850, GTX480, GTX470 deals but decided on this one.
I didn't really want to jump from the 4870 yet but, it's what I consider a significant step forward.

just ordered a 6950, was going to go for 580 phantom but this unlocked to a 6970 will do me just fine, just need to sell my 5870 now, any mod feeling kind enough to let me into MM .......... worth a try
