Had to be asked - 560 or 470?

OCUK really threw a spanner in the works here. I was waiting for the 560 to drop in price, and along comes the new deal of the week for the 470 at £144.

What do you guys reckon? Is the 470 worth getting, or is it too dated now? Should I wait for the 560 to drop a fair bit below £200? I'm searching for benchmarks for it now, since I have no idea if the 470 was a good card or not when it came out.

Nice and to the point! Anything I would be missing out on technology wise from the 560? (some new version of DirectX?)

Both use DirectX 11 mate.

They both offer similar performance but the 470 is much cheaper and has 25% more VRAM (useful at high res and highAA settings). The only downside of the 470 is that a bigger may be needed to run it.

Yes, I run a 470 on an antec 550w with no issues (ans thats with an i7 OC to 4ghz)

Nice one, thanks. I have a Q6600 @ 3.3Ghz. Also use a SSD as my OS drive, so that helps too with lowering power consumption.

470, £50 cheaper, great cooler and more Vram, should overclock past 570/480 performance if you don't get a duff one, simple decision.
