Played the demo, seems like they've gone back to FN2 with the button mashing. It's all a lot faster now so I'm finding it hard to pick my punches and dodge. Seems dare I say it "arcady" and the lack of health meter and corner games is a disappointment.

I do however like the one hit punches that can ends fights, landed a right hook on Cotto and he went down in a heap with his cornermen helping him up.. fight over! Some bugs like getting KO's by a flailing arm!?

Aww boo the one thing i loved about FN Round 4 was the controls. Using the analogue sticks for movement just felt natural. Ill give this a download but if its gone arcadey then its a no chance for me.

indeed I liked using the analog sticks for punching button bashing was just too boring for that game maybe they will have something in the setting to enable the analog stick control.

You can still use the analogues, I used them. Punches are snappier and sharper, even when using the punch modifier they come out fast. Obviously their slower when your stamina is low, but that rarely happens.... it's kinda a punch fest

Will have to check this out but i'm still enjoying FN4 which I picked up a few months back for a tenner.

Ah i thought they'd ditched to control system altogether. Hmm ill give it a go like i said, but i like the slower pace of FNR4, picking your shots etc. Ill comment more once ive actually played it :)

lol thats quite realistic since cotto chin is dented already by the hands of stone.

anyway gonna give this go and see is it any good

Terrible demo, doesn't seem to give you any explanation of the control scheme, I haven't played since 3 so I know it has something to do with the right stick but it doesn't tell you

Couldn't work out how to aim punches for the head/body or how to block low.

Not enjoying the demo at all. I played FN3 to death, loved it. Never really got into 4. And this is even worse IMO. Just to quick, to arcadey.

My main gripe with FN4 is here again. The punches dont feel like big punches. When you landed a haymaker in FN3 it really felt like you would take their head off. That was misisng in FN4 and even more so here. Shame.

Bit undecided bout this one I prefer the analog controls on FN4 it does seem speeded up and a lot hard to dodge and parry punches, I landed a nice right hook on cotto boy did he hit the floor. Love the shots that take someone down without being stunned just wish I could do that more often.

complete utter drivvel.......

only game i have been looking forward to since early last year and they have completely ruined it..... graphics are aweful compared to 4, controls are aweful, the movement is proper aweful, the game play is just pure utter ****.

me and my mate was playing it last night one on one and there just no atmosphere at all with it, normally we would be f'in n blinding at each other, having a laugh...... but not we this, we was just sat there bored...

proper dissapointed in it.... is it a new team whats developed this game?

Loved playing FN4 offline with friends but the online mode and achievements were broken from the start and never fixed. Don't trust EA Sports to fix any problems this game might have so won't be touching it.
