oh crap, may be I should read the text in the post! Or maybe you should write better subjects for your threads!! :p

First thing I would do is disconnect everything, try and post the mobo with just the power supply, CPU and RAM. Does it still keep rebooting?

maxmius 3 extreme mb
i7 875k
artic 700 psu
corsiar 1333 2gb ram
his ati graphics

have tried rog connect and the bios says it flashed but still no boot
have resteat cpu many time have tried new psu

i also have another motherboard but the cpu is not compatable with it untill i flash the bios on it but cant as it does not power on
intel dp55kg

Sounds like shorting to me. Doubly check that there is nothing behind the motherboard, that all the spacers are correctly installed in the right number and that all the plugs are installed correctly and securely.

One sec, are you trying to start it up on an anti static mat, if so stop immediately!! Anti-static mats normally use metal strips to stop static, which causes shorts. If you mean an anti static bag then it defiantly does and you could be damaging your components. I would recommend cardboard to test on.

Try it again on the box, it may be the anti-static stuff that was causing the shorting which stopped it working, or was it initially tested inside the case?

plugged the mobo power in and the cpu power in? myself and quite a few people iv seen had this problem (silly i know but everyone misses something now and again).

the comp will start for a few seconds fans spins then powers down then powers up again about 5 seconds later only to power down again and it keeps repeating its self.

I'm enlightened, I never knew anti static bags contain metal :D:D:D

i have 2 motherboards now but the thing is the guy who bought the stuff doesnt have the recipt he has bought enought stuff to build like 3 full computers and i cant get it to work

i have had this same problem before but in my case it turned out the graphics card wasn't seated properly once i took it out and re fitted it ran ok
only thing i can think of is to check that all the cards and cables are fitted correctly
and then try clearing the cmos

Yep, uses it to create a Faraday Cage (I believe this is what it is called), the metal acts as a ground and absorbs any static before it builds up. I too didn't know this was a cause for concern until a few months ago!

Ahhh yes, the trusted Faraday Cage

"step into the box Mr. Faraday....

I'm now going to pass 3 gazillion watt through it, all in the name of science"
