Headphones on tv with no headphone input

My tv does not have headphone input, so i tried using the adapter on the compositie on the tele, but still my headphones seem to have no sound. The adapter i am talking about is red and white into tv, then headphone into the black one. Any ideas how to get it to work? Need them for late night gaming!

Sounds like that's the composite in socket, not an output.

You need to make sure the composite on the t.v is an output not a input.
If your t.v dosn't have an output try conecting the headphone adapter to the console output (IE:red and white phono cable)

Go to the site with the river name and type "scart headphone".

(I had a look on ocuk but search for scart = no results.)
