£150 budget for 24 inch

Heard nothing but good things about the benq led which is about 165. That's my next purchase cause the old 14" monitor that I'm currently using is starting to get kinda long in the tooth :)

8ms will be fine and that deal is too good to pass up if you ask me.
Lots of folk have that and can confirm it's fine for gaming.
8ms is a true reading, lots of screens say 2ms -5ms and are more like 8ms.

You haven't spoken to me about it then that's for sure. :p

Regarding the responsiveness of the U2311H: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=17555065&postcount=21. In short; I have used monitors rated at 2ms which are less responsive than the U2311H. It's quite a decent monitor on that front. You have to remember that at a 60Hz refresh rate there is a 16.33ms transition time between frames - so if the stated response times could be maintained and that's all that mattered there would be no difference in responsiveness between an IPS monitor rated at 8ms and a 2ms rated TN panel. In reality it's more complicated than that and indeed the rated response times are of very little use.

2ms + overdrive are the true fast ones right ? anyway I'd be kicking myself if I didn't stretch a bit and get the dell if I had the £ for a new screen at the mo worth beg borrow or steal to take advantage.
