New Headset/phones

seems the new corsair fits my remaining budget however still isnt in stock it seems, the goldrings turned up today and they are so comfortable :) nice case as well but running it off my onboard sound really doesnt do it justice. And it seems none of the available gaming headsets are open so i still have the muffling trouble.

i would buy the carcharias but they are now out of my price range XD tho the corsairs are also closed goldrings are great quality , thanks for helping me decide.

Ah true, although I doubt you'll find them as "noise-suppressing" as the Goldring's, even when compared to other closed headphones, I'm shocked at how little of the outside world I can hear when wearing them.

Did you or uriel get an extension lead for yours ? theres only enough wire to connect to my front pannel jacks so when my soundcard turns up i may have a problem

I have an early set with 1.8m cable (they changed to 1m at some point). Standard 3.5mm extension lead will do or you can get a 1.6m cable from Audio-Technica. I posted a thread about it the other day.

i have to admit i was suprised how fast my hp turned up , just need to order the speedlink mic/headset and sound card and im done :). Have to admit using the headphone port on my tv is horrible a lot of crackling from both speakers , audio isnt too bad tho. And i can understand the hiss being refered to relaxing its very hard to hear unless you concentrate but i do keep looking outside for the torrential rain only to see the sun shining in XD

Well everything turned up today and ive spent most of the day in awe of dolby headphone, i spent about 20 minutes messing with the output settings as i was hearing the music from my 2left and right speakers but i couldn't stop it so in my frustration i took off the headphones ...needless to say my speakers were not playing but the dolby processing did such a good job with the positioning i couldnt tell. Thanks to Global and Uriel and anyone else who helped me with my choices , definitely a step up from the Fatal1ty mk2 or Medusas i was going to buy originally

It's great to hear when people have good experiences with the NS1000's. I'd get some myself if I had need for closed phones. My DR150's are enough for me. :)
