reminds me of the golf balls in Yorkshire / wherever....do we know what they do there yet? My guess is a missile silo designed to look like a radar listening station

Remember those from when I was a kid and went on holiday to York and drove over the moors. Almost sinister alongside the bleakness of the moors.
Think they have gone now - replaced with newer types.
