£14 more for the GTX 470, so not really much difference

Question is... which is the best for performance. I'm going to ignore the power output for now.

Anyone got a good comparison link of the both of them? (Must be both Twin Frozr II's)

'generally' ? I'm guessing you mean on some games it's better, on others its worse then.

Does it REALLY use that much more? Coz that's a ****ing lot.

Not having much luck on google finding comparisons for them both lol.

I'd maybe search around for opinions on the MSI 470 as the MSI 5850 has a mixed reputation for overclocking atm, going by various forums & people's experiences on here.

For all we know the 470 Twin Frozr could be the same ?

If you're not overclocking then the 470 would be the better buy imho as it's slightly quicker when both cards are at stock.

You really don't need to upgrade the 5770 is a decent enough card. You won't see a huge improvement in all honesty. What size PSU have you got? - Ah 500W. I wouldn't think running a GTX470 on 500W is the best idea. The 5850 should run nicely on 500W though.

I Ordered a 5850 today (upgrading from a 4850), for me it came down to performance relative to power consumption which the 5850 clearly beats the 470 on, however if I wasn't worried about power consumption I would have chosen the 470.
