<--- This is Dexter.

He's very patient with the pups. Because they're slightly smarter than him and now he has somebody new to play with.

Have popped in here a few times to see how they're getting on, haven't read every post though so this may be a question that's already answered but is Dexter their dad?

How long till they all go off to their homes now?

Dexter is their uncle, their "special" uncle. Not the one that makes you sit on his knee all the time, the one that steals your crayons and won't give them back.

Only a fortnight to go now till they start going off to new homes and of the 6 that are spoken for, 5 are going to friends of ours so we'll still see them.

Their appetite is growing, fed them at 11pm, them put a full tray of food down for them once they were asleep (when they wake up hungry, they eat and go back to sleep), they kicked off at 5am, went down and they'd polished it off. And they ate the tray i put down then too  Bloody gannets!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

If he waits long enough, one of them will roll off and Dexter can fit on his own bed, yay!

Mind you, they aren't fussy, they'll sleep anywhere. (although i have learned not to wear overly absorbent clothing around them .... )

On the topic of toilet training, it turns out "toilet training pads" aren't "toilet training pads", they're a chew toy. :(

Snap taken by youngest sprog, curious pup.

They outgrew the enclosure pretty quickly, so we got them one of the huge fluffy beds we have for the cats. Guessing they didn't really like it...

Starting to thin the ranks now they've had their first jabs. Two pups have gone to Sussex (bit of a drive!), one to Newquay and one has moved about a mile away.

It's been a lot of fun, the wave of excitement and happiness that hits you as you enter the room with them is amazing. But, it's has been very hard work, i've not done the "4am hungry screaming child" thing for 6 years and this has been a rude awakening (several rude awakenings actually)

Did mum go looking for them when they left?

She was a bit "barky" for a few after after each one went, but she settled fairly quickly. Might be a problem when the last one goes, but that should be mitigated by the fact that two of the pups are going to people we see on a regular basis (2/3/4 times a week) so it won't be a total break.

well done mate, great job :)
my bitch is due pups in the next week, reading through this thread, has brought it all back to me

Only one little guy left with us now (yellow collar, now answers to "Chunk") and he's off to a new home tomorrow. Going to miss him, he's been here too long for my liking, starting to get attached to him :(

LOL @ the three musketeers heading for their food. They are so adorable. I know you have to do it but must be heart wrenching to let them go.

Haha love the "scrap" one.
"I will stop you biting me....by putting your head in my mouth!" :D

I bet you're going to miss them. I'm sad enough knowing this thread is going to be ending. :(

Great isn't it! :D I love the fact that they all eat together when there is loads of space for them to spread about. :)

Me too. :(

Can't believe how big they are now.

@ OP could you give us updates (ideally with pics!) of the pups with those owners that you keep in contact with please? :)

Chunks last morning with us. This is the utter joy that has been greeting me every morning.
(once again, the quality of our digicam is showing, this is just with room lighting as it's dak outside)

Thought i'd cut off at Chunks morning chunk ;)
