Ok the day before yesterday My Pc was wroking fine.
Next day I tried switching it on. but it doesn't even post and CPU_LED is lighting on my mobo.(ASUS P7P55D PRO)

1. I cleared the CMOS
2. Replaced Gfx Card (5850) with another (5870 of my friend)
3. Replaced the Ram ( G.Skill Ropjaw 4GB) with my friends...
4. Replaced PSU ( OCZ ModXStream 700W) with my friends one...
5. Tried all the wiring, replaced some wires.

This didn't help becuase the parts of my friend didn't work either on MY PC.
The only thing i didn't try is CPU(Core i5 750) and MOBO as the CPU and mobo of my mate are different from mine...

Someone had this experience before??
I can't just go in shop buy mobo and if it doesnt work then buy a CPU???
Waste of money. I'm still a student

Any ideas before i make some stupid decision?

Take your CPU to a local shop and ask them if they'd test it for you, if it doesn't work you need a new CPU, if it does then you need a new motherboard?

Consult mobo manual regarding the CPU_LED.

Also don't you have warranty on the parts?

Go back to the shop, ask them to test the parts and if they find the fault ask them to honor their warranty and replace :D

Haha the only "tiny" problem is i bought it from OcUK and i live somewhat 4000km away from UK :D

I guess i'll go to some local shop pay him somewhat a lot of money to test my CPU...

I am 75% sure it my MOBO :(

If you have to pay the shop guy a lot of money maybe its cheaper to just buy new components :)

Just phoned a few local shops around malta and they are sayign that most probably is is the mobo...

The other shop said that they have to check it ( to pull some money out of me and they need 4 working days :o ) byt he way this shop is a UK branch shop)

Come on people i need some advice :D
Anyone had expereice with this

Once i switch on the PC it doesn't beep at all but all the fans are on CPU_LED is lighting

mhm
what about removing all drives and just seeing if u can get a bios screen?

I just left CPU RAM AND GPU...all others were off...It doesn't even get to BIOS...doesn't boot at all...

Hope you unplugged the psu when you cleared the CMOS

Yes i did unplug the PSU when resting CMOS...

Lot of people saying it's th emobo but still i'm not sure...

Try booting just the board, if its no different with no components at all then it's most probably the motherboard is dead, if not it will beep code the lack of cpu.

no post no beeps = Dead CPU.
CPU is required to do a POST, if the CPU LED light is on, then your CPU is dead.

I tried booting without the GPU and it beeped like there is no VGA...
the same for the RAM.
CPU_LED was still on when i done that.
this means mobo is working?
