Asus, why are they slightly more expensive?

I consistently see that Asus GTX 570s are more expensive than any other 570s, even the Gainward Phantom edition with custom cooler, it's a good £10 more expensive than that.

Popular brand with a proven track record for delivering quality products, means they can charge a small premium. They also in my experience at least never scrimp on the extras, I remember getting my old 939 SLi motherboard and being amazed at both the quantity and the quality of the supplied cabels!

They have a reputation for solidly built products, and for the most part, that reputation has borne out over the years. Sort of like the BMW of the component world? (lol)

Solid brand

Big R&D budget

Full warranty & up to 50% overclock via their Voltage Tweak tool!!!

Massive buying power due to their size so they probably get some of the best GPU stock

As someone else described them as the BMW of component world :)

You pay for the brand and the engineering.

After the drama I had with my old Asus motherboard, I'd disagree. Worst piece of kit I ever had! The vdroop was so chronic that 1.525v would drrop to 1.475v.

It's not a difficult question to answer, it's because you don't shop around, end of story.

I personally would not buy another Asus Graphics Card having done some research into their warranty service, it's not as good as the motherboard warranty and then the motherboards get shipped to a 3rd party (creative computing) for UK repair/replacement.

For the size that Asus is in terms or turnover, we get poor customer service considering what other brands have to offer - simples.
