I have this really old 15 inch tv that I have finally decided to replace (yup it's old) and I have been looking at these:

LG 32LD690 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 100Hz LCD - £319.99

Emotion 32" Full HD 1080p LCD TV - £349.99

Any other tv better to go for without going more than £350???

TY

Buying a TV is a very personal thing. I would recommend you go and actually have a look at several before you make a decision as each make tends to be very different. The screen quality and actual picture varies dramatically between makes, an LG will look different to a Samsung, which will look different to a Sony or Panasonic. It's all down to personal choice, and also what you want the TV to do.

Do you want full HD, do you have any HD sources, Blu-Ray, Sky HD or the like. What do you like to watch?

You can certainly get better for the money than the two you have posted however.

I've recently bought the LG 32LD690 for our upstairs room.

It's a good all round TV. The only area I'd say it falls down on slightly is that the sound is not as good as on other LCD TVs I've heard. The Netcast features are really nice though.

Hope that helps :)

My wife is pushing for a LG 42LD450, which is slightly over the £350 max I was looking for and seems a good deal at £378.98 .. Going from my 15" to 42" seems a bit much, but ...

Seriously, go and look at them, and take your wife. She will want something with a styling that fits (probably a Samsung) wherever your going to put it, but you need to actually see these screens.

No one can tell you what looks best in your eyes, you really can't buy something like this from recommendations without actually looking at it first.

Not easy for me as I have a couple of disabilities making it hard to get out and about; I understand what you mean though, but I'm stuck doing everything via the pc.

thing is if your paying over 300 for a 32 it better be damn good, as 37" with not too dissimilar feature set are becoming available for 350 mark...

Changed now to buying the LG 42LD450 for £378.98 ...

42" and reviews all are good.

all your getting though in the 42 is a bigger screen the picture is better on the 32" you was looking at(LG) 319 is a dam cheap price for that spec

Out of them 2 the LG is the better TV. If you have a Richer sounds near you try them, you will get a better deal.

Sorry for OT - been trying to get in touch with you via email beefybarn, not sure if I have used the right address or if it's hit your spam folder or similar. Could you drop me a mail in trust please? :)

EDIT: Thanks matey.
