Watched it, didn't really enjoy it
Definitely Kunis you silly man![]()
Started watching it the other day. Can't say I was impressed. Natalie Portman's performance did not impress at all. I'm no dancer, but she just looked awkward and lacking any grace in most scenes, imo.
My mum sold this to me by saying 'I'm no prude, but...'.
The question my friends and I came out with though was SPOILER!!! whether she actually did stab Beth? I assumed it was a figment of her imagination until she dropped the nail file in the lift...
SPOILER!!!
She didn't stab Beth though, she stabbed herself didn't she? The way I understood it was the stress of the role had affected her in the same way which is why she stabbed herself (Hence her injuring herself in the car crash).
SPOILER
Sorry I really don't understand what you mean.
Beth is the girl in the hospital right (Winona Ryder(sp?))? She gets injured in the car crash and gets taken to hospital where Nina goes to visit her (and the whole face stabbing goes on) then she drops the file in the lift as she runs away. Later on her and the "other" girl fight in the dressing room and Nina stabs herself.
**SPOILER?!?**
You'll notice that Beth is still stabbing herself as Nina leaves the room, and then you see her drop the file in the lift, which implies that she might've been the one stabbing Beth all along.
The fact that it has been paired with the beautiful dancing and stunning music of ballet, seems to have made this film better than it really is. A good film but overhyped.

Anyways, I loved the film and I completely side with Natalie Portman on the lady front. She was incredibly hot when her hair was down![]()
You can add Aronofsky fanboys to that list.
