B-GRADE CLEARENCE DEALS - MOTHERBOARDS

I'm not happy, I bought the Asus P6X58D-E Intel X58 and it did not come with extras but thats fine i have a few SATA cables and i can just get the drivers off the website but the I/O backplate I need that please can you help me out. Cheers Jason

This is because it is a B grade board.

You would need to buy an A Grade board or a brand new board to get accessories.

He's only asking for the I/O plate. To be honest it wouldn't have crossed my mind that it would not be included. Sata cables, manuals and drivers etc are superfluous, but the I/O plate isn't. If Asus are delivering them to you can't you get him one?

I couldn't imagine putting a system together without using the I/O shield. Horrible big spaces at the back of the case. It's sort of essential. Like you said, cables, drivers, software, manuals etc. It's fine to drop these as can be gotten elsewhere easily.

But since it's clearly labeled as B-grade and in this thread OCers have said that I/O plates are not included, I fail to see why someone would complain..

I'm only giving what my man on the street opinion is. I wouldn't consider the I/O plate to be an accessory, I'd consider it to be essential. If I'd have seen a B grade board I may have ordered without checking the I/O plate. I have to be honest and say I don't know if I would or not...

Have you tested that the motherboard even works? Im far from happy with Overclockers first I get a board with no i/o backplate even after being promised it would come with one in this very thread. All credit to Nathan who sent one out immediately when I notified him of the error (see above). But when I put the system together the board was completely dead (DOA) this was confirmed by overclockers when I returned it under RMA. I only found this out when I emailed Overclockers to find out on the progress of my RMA (they never notified me) and they confirmed it was dead and had been returned to the manufacturer and that it could take up to 28 days for a replacement!!!! So far I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a replacement and heard nothing. In fact I ordered this board on the 6th of December its now February and I still dont have my new system built.

I emailed Nathan again 3 days ago asking if there was anything he could do to get me a replacement motherboard and he said he would chase it up but I still havent received a replacement board or even the offer of a refund

Needless to say I wont ever be touching B-Grade again and if this is Overclockers customer service to a customer who's been dealing with them for about 10 years I wont be ordering from them again......

Cheers,
Hugest

I would have asked, or perhaps even read this thread.. Would I order a mobo without an I/O panel? Probably not.

In all honestly I'm not sure. I would either have checked, or I'd have assumed it came with one... since I'm not in that position I can't honestly say.

I also bought a B-grade Asus P6X58D-E and it came without an i/o plate, it would be nice if you could send me one if you have any spare, it would be much appreciated.

:confused::confused::confused:

Just had a check and the P6X58D-Es have all the I/O shields.

Asus are going to send us replacement I/O shields once a month so I will update descriptions when they have I/o shields with or without them.

Which is why i presumed he ordered the said board.

No I have not even tested it yet because I still need to buy the Processor, Ram and the new case. I'll test it as fast as I can because of the 3 month warranty I dont want to find out its dead and for them to turn round and say (" Oh I'm sorry as your warranty has ran out we cant do anything about the broken motherboard we have sent you") Hugest thats bad luck that they should check if all there products work first before they even ship them out.

Sorry to be a nut buster.

Thats one of the reasons why I got one because looking at hes post saying he'll get some I/O Shield from Asus.

Hugest gets one right away because of how many posts he has. I get pushed away because I'm new.

Sorry for the double post.
