hello everyone
basically i have a oppertunity to take a second job. my job at the moment is a 3 day shift (fri,sat and sun) and the other job i can get will be three days (mon,tue and wed). im unsure what to do at the moment and just wanted to know if anyone on here has to two jobs and what are the pros and cons?

which of the jobs are more important to you? because if your not recovering enough to fulfil your role in your primary job your mad and will lose out in the end. I know nurses that work thornbury shifts which pays a ridiculous amount but start to suffer doing their regular hours due to lack of rest.

Don't you get raped up for tax with two jobs, even if you're earning normal money? (ie two part time jobs).

i think you are correct. i wonder how much tax i would pay because if it turns out a lot it wouldnt be worth it.

I don't know how bad it is, it's just always what I've heard that say 45 hours a week in one job will see you pay noticeably less tax than 45 hours a week from two jobs.

Well there are many things to take into consider if its less than 35 hours with both jobs included I think the tax is still alright (Speaking under correction) also if that's the case I would take the job and if you like the one better than the other leave the one job and stay with the other?

Short term yes, but you can get it back pretty easily.
