Ok..I've got to stop this procrastination and finally get my new computer parts ordered today and just need to add a gfx card for a bit of decent gaming, that won't break the bank. I won't be playing games every day but when I do, I want something that will make playing them worthwhile, rather than a struggle!

My list below, shows an H67 mobo - that's because I won't be over-clocking this 2500k rig but, I intend to swap this H67 mobo plus a i5 23/2400 into second machine which I've decided I will build later in the year and replace my current build mobo with a P67 mobo which I can then OC, once I have the second machine up and running.

At the moment, I need an ultra reliable machine with decent onboard graphics for mostly image editing, to which I can add a gfx card for gaming etc but, should the gfx card fail, I can still work on the machine, hence the H67 mobo choice.
Here's the parts I've finally got around to choosing and intend to order. If you have any suggestions to improve the list, then by all means let me know.

I'm particularly interested in what you think of the PSU and whether it's a good option. Also, what do you think of the case? (I like the flip-fronts for the optical drives).

Budget for the card please?
Do you have preference for Ati or Nvidia?

To be honest, I'll leave maker suggestions to you guys who know more about it than myself!

Maybe a budget limit of about £130-150.00. I'm not expecting great performance for that sort of money nor am I going to get heavily involved in gaming right now so, just a card that will give me a decent gaming experience! If I get more involved, I'll invest in a better card!

Have re-done your spec for you.

you could easily get away with the 650w XFX psu too, or even the Bequiet L7 530w psu - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-042-BQ&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1083

Thanks for the suggestions. I notice you've overlooked the extra HDD ( I need two).
It's a bummer about the case as I liked that one LOL. I'll have another look at those you've suggested but, I'd prefer one without the vents at the top as I have to stand my external backup drives on there due to space shortage in the area in which I work.

I'm not too bothered at saving a few quid on the PSU as I'd rather pay a bit extra to get a decent one but if the Bequiet will do the same job, I might as well get one of those!
I must admit, the gfx card seems rather nice...will it handle most of today's games?
