10 years ocuk forum membership?

Statistically of course, it is more likely. As pointed out by Ed Norton's character in Fight Club: on a long enough time-line, the probability for everything drops to zero. However, you're an old-timer so are expected to know the rules by now and how to avoid getting yourself banned. The ball I guess is in your court.

True... I guess there just seems to be a dearth of posters above about 25k or thereabouts, with the obvious exception of Fox and Gillbot.

Posting just so I can see my post count and join date. :D
Only 7k odd. Bloody hell, someway still to go before I surpass my postcount on scoobynet.
That place makes my blood boil now, I just can't post on it

If I hadn't given away 20k in postcount auctions then I'd easily be above that, there's also people like cleanbluesky who's above that amount and hasn't posted much (if at all) in a year or two. As always though high postcount doesn't always equal worth listening to...

I also wonder whether the longer you stick around chatting in GD, the more likely you are to get banned. I'm getting worried, to be honest.

I think it's the longer you post in Random Images thread and the Gif thread = The more likely you are to end up being suspended multiple times.

I may or may not know this from some experience ¬_¬

I don't bother looking at people's post counts, I don't think many people do, instead just the post itself. Heck, most days I don't even look at a username, just the post itself and reply or whatever if it's relevant.

I don't understand what 10k extra posts would do

That's like those ******* who take part in marathons but pull out with injury after 12 miles, get dropped 1 mile from the finishing line, still collect their medal but still claim they did the marathon.

just wondering what we get when we reach 10 years of ocuk forum membership
may i suggest 10,000 extra post counts and maybe a £50 voucher
thanks :)

Ok I'll create 500 new accounts and wait 10 years... Free £25,000!

One of the worst suggestions I have ever read.

contribute what though? You can have thousands of posts of drivel in GD, or fewer yet more useful posts in other sections.

Interestingly, Windle, Hedge, AMTechFox, [TW]Fox, semi-pro waster and dmpoole are the only people from this thread I really remember as 'old timers'.

I joined back in the pre-vBulletin days when the forum was all black and watercooling an AMD Thunderbird was the height of fashion. Then watched the vBulletin board grow back in the days before there was a Music forum as well. It seems like most of the more long-standing members have either moved to other boards, or just hang about and post helpful posts now and again if it's in their area of knowledge.

I remember feeling like very small fish in SC compared to some of the then posters.

VIRII became really annoying.

I used another name on the old forum though..
