Wonder if they're aiming for fortnightly now? I guess with them being seasonal they want to suggest there will be more events at certain times of year than others? Wish they would update more frequently though, and include some seasonal b-spec races :)

Official Gran Turismo says this :

*****

Gran Turismo Anywhere - Host races even when away from home

Remote races can be started from the official website gran-turismo.com, and you can even check the progress and results of the race.

Whilst on the move or away from home, you can check race results, and even set and start new remote races. A whole new way to enjoy "Gran Turismo" is here.

*This feature enables the remote operation of "Gran Turismo 5" from a web browser, and requires "Gran Turismo 5" to be running on the "PlayStation 3" displaying the remote race screen.
*Also, although it is possible to check race progress and results by text, you cannot see the live race images during the race from a web browser.

EDIT: Sauce - http://eu.gran-turismo.com/ie/products/gt5/bspec/

It would be nice if they fixed the game before doing stuff like this.

Yeah, maybe Kaz... doesn't have a PS3 at work so he want's to be able to play GT5 whilst working on it too?
Instead of that kind of crap, more seasonals or one new car would have more longevity surely.
I'm not the only one who's B-Spec is at level 40 so the update would be pointless (not to mention 2 months late  )
:(

it's not totally useless the majority will not even be B-Spec level 10 it's only the minority that are level 30+

I think it will be a good idea being able to earn credits while at work, i can't see the seasonal events giving 2.5M+ credits every couple of weeks forever.

I'm a bit dissapointed that they haven't even let us know whats going on with the updates yet.

The only thing in the game i think needs fixing is a option to turn off the god awful shadows and possibly brake upgrades as it seems rather silly the brakes increase automatically with the cars power.

Agreed, plus they could definitely do with adding fastfwd and rewind to the replay's.

Wow well just found out the brakes don't upgrade at all with the cars power

just got into a EVO X

standard car upto 100mph and brake at a certain point note where i stopped take a picture.

stage 3 turbo upto 100mph brake at same point and hey presto stop at the exact same point

all engine upgrades same thing stopped at the exact same point.

only thing that made a difference to the braking performance was tires, and weight reduction.

I definately need to do a more indepth look at this later tonight

Apparently there was not enough time to get the brake kit option ready. (5 years just is'nt enough?)

Well it would be nice atleast to fix the game itself first.

I just purchased a stage 2 turbo but didn't install it straight away,
then I bought a stage 3 turbo and did install it
and when in the settings tab the stage 2 turbo is unavailable for selection.

As for replays, saving a 24hr race replay or even just an half hour race with no fast forward.

If PD would have just released more seasonals then I'd be spending my time doing them instead of complaining about things hehehe :D

thats because the turbo you didn't install goes into your items list on your gt life page you have to select it when in a car from the items list then it will install it. i thought the same thing many times until i discovered my items list had an abundence of tires in there i didn't fit straight away lol

You have a brake balance/pressure controller regardless of power.
I was going to test the brake balance/pressure as it seems to lock up at strange times and handle wildly.

Doh. :o thanks for that.
I have to select the car(s) I was in at the time when I bought it now to install it. :(

No i think you can install the upgrade on any car that will accept it

Yes true, but I have 4 mid range turbos in there so obviously 4 cars I bought them for in the past have no mid range turbo option.
Next time I'll just install the parts straight away, saves any hassle.
It's mainly for using online to give the cars a better suitability to fit within the regulations.
But want to keep the bigger turbo on in most cases so you know the max HP that particular car can produce, (hence buying but not fitting)

Quick question about B-spec. I am level 14, just finishing off the 3rd series of events. At what point do I need to start an additional driver (just used the same one so far). And when I do this will he have to "grind" through earlier races or do I just use him in my current races straightaway?

TBH honest i used two drivers until i neede 4 if you see what i mean. My 1st diver is level 36 or something with 150 or so wins, my 3 and 4th drivers are level 30+ and have only done 12 or so races (all endurance), so i wouldnt bother levelling the other 2 drivers till the endurance races.

When do I "need" more? I think I have more slots available (I am level 15 at present), but when are more mandatory for a race? When I get one, if I stick him in a level 17 race, and he is level 0/1 (as it is his first race) will he be rubbish? TBH I am not sure I am going to bother with the Endurance races. From what I have observed B-spec races seem twice as long as an equivalent A-spec race (or thereabouts) i.e. 5 lap A-spec is 10 lap b-spec or something like that.

Think you got a while yet, but it tells you if you need two drivers. If the car is good enough and he doesnt need to push hard then a level 0 driver in a 2 driver race should be fine, i used level 0 drivers in the level 25 endurance race and he was fine.

Extreme Series / European Championship (level 22)
I think thats the first event that needs 2 drivers.
Then

Endurance Series / Grand Valley 300km (Level 25)
That requires 4 drivers. (as do all but the 24hrs of LeMans Endurance races)
