Another argument needs resolving sandybridge vs phenom2

Okay my friends are still arguing with me again. Now they are saying the top of the range amd phenom 6 core is better than the top of the range i7 sandybridge, both at stock.

This is in general use and gaming. I feel i am right but they are adamant im wrong.
 
look up some benchmarks, seriously. there's nothing that'll be said on here that isnt already laid out in dozens and dozens of benchmarks all available via the wonder that is google.

even a Sandybridge 2400 cpu is faster than AMD's top end for general use/gaming.
