hi,

my order arrived this 9am this morning so thank you oc uk for good service. i am now the (very) proud owner of this system: i5 760,asus p7p55d-e, geil 2x2gb value plus mem sticks, 8800gtx gfx card (soon to be replaced), bequiet dark power pro 900w psu and 2x500gb seagate hdd's in raid0.
i upgraded from a p4 3gig, asus p4p800-e, nvidia 7600gt, 2gb ram with other bits salvaged from old systems.
OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE! caps intended.
in reference to an earlier post by myself, Buchanan0204 if you read this you are/were right about the psu, used the 900w in that same system and the hdd's were detected so +1 for the good advice!
Now onto learning about overclocking and choosing a new gfx card.

Price checks can only be done in the members Market, which 250 posts and 3 months membership is required.

considering my 9800gt still gets decent framerates in bad company 2.. lol 8800 is same thing

albiet it my card has overheating issues :(

At the same position myself, I've got a 5670 and saving up for a new GPU. I'm torn between the 560 and the 6950 both look good and about the same price. choices choices

choices choices indeed, trying to find decent info on which route to take ,nvidia or ati, is quite hard, there are a lot of opinions and fanboys.foretunately/unforetunately i've got time on my side, can't afford a new gfx yet so i'll keep scanning the forum for info.

I've never really understood the whole "fanboy" loyalty thing. I would always personally just go with what the best deal is at the time, the best bang for buck. Who cares if it's Nvidia or Ati.

From the 2 or 3 benchies I've seen, a HD5870 ~ GTX560 Ti ~ HD6870.
(~ represents approximately equal).

HD6950 would be the better card by a fair way.
