Vegas!

Im off to Vegas at the end of the month for a week, part of my new years res to get out and see some more of the world!

Ive got the grand canyon to do ofcourse, im staying at the stratosphere.

What have people done before? what would you recommend?

Please tell me its as awesome as it is in my head....and if it isnt...just lie to me.

Isn't the Strat bit far North? Might be worth staying somewhere more central.

I'm pleased to inform you that It is every bit as amazing as in your head... and then some!

I'd recommend eating breakfast at the all you can eat buffets. You can pretty mugh get whatever you want for $5 and all good quality grub.

Theres a rooftop nightclub club on top of Rio if I remember correctly, that was pretty fantastic.

To be honest... Almost no point in recommending anything as absolutely everything you do there will be awesome. You simply cannot help but have a good time whatever bars/clubs you go to. That said, I would personally recommend the shooting range and driving a hummer round a track for some blokishness. Aside from that just take a LOT of cash and party like you've never partied before.

Agreed... but I don't think Taxi's were too pricey, though I cant really recall.

Stratosphere prob not best idea but at least it's stupidly cheap

re Canyon make sure you are going to the South Rim, the West Rim is not the real GC

the place with the Hummer off road course and the Corvettes on the track has closed

re the cash, work out what you think you need, double it and make sure you have loads more in reserve, seriously

they aren't Strat to centre strip will be about $15 inc tip

Ouch... I stand corrected, was 4-5 years ago I went and I stayed in Bally's so was pretty central.

if you are flying in on a direct flight get off the plane as quick as you can, the passport section can't cope with a 747 full of folks, get off wuick you can be trhough in 15 mins. be last off you are looking at 90mins

taxis are cheap but strat is a long way, prob pushing 3 miles

Im off with 3 other people, we decided on the start as with flights it was just so cheap, dont think we will mind chipping in 10 bucks a day for taxis atall
