Hey Guys,

First post here! Just wondered if I could get some advice.

Im about to buy this bundle from OcUK - Krypton Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.00GHz USB3/SATA 6Gb/s Overclocked Bundle - Asus (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-000-NX) and will be using it with a EVGA GTX 570 card - what watt power supply would be sufficient? I currently have a 620W and feel that it might not be enough?

If it isnt enough will probably go ahead and get the Corsair HX750W or TX750W which seems very recommended.

Any advice would be great,

Cheers

If it's a decent PSU, 620W with a single 570 should be plenty. You'll only need more if you want to SLI in future.

Cheers guys, its a CoolerMaster 620W (80 Plus) is that a good enough one?

In the future I will be going SLI but not for at least a year so the card has become cheaper!

I was really tempted by the Sandy Bridge but dont think 4GB is enough RAM. I use 4GB at the moment and its normally pretty maxed out. So didnt want to buy more RAM and then have BIOS issues as I have no idea how to do anything like that. Is it really MUCH faster?

its good enough, for SLI GTX570 a 750w psu would be ideal.

And sandybridge is so much faster.

Ok - is there a big difference between the i5 and i7 overclock chips? Also, if I decided to change the ram from 4gb to 8gb how difficult would it be to get the overclock working again?

The 2600K i7 sandybridge just have hyperthreading, so not really worth £100 over a quad core 2500k i5

A little over hyped, it affects 4 off the SATA 2 ports, luckily ASUS has lots of better SATA3.0 ports included.

also you can exchange the motherboard a week or two before the warranty expires(or any time before this date), and you receive a new motherboard and a new 2-3year warranty on top.

so potentially 4-6 years warranty just for being patience.

Ok great - thanks for all your help man - really appreciate it :) - Sandy Bridge does look heaps better so will probably go for it.

Cheers!
